TC Services Vietnam, a distributor of GAC, revealed on Tuesday that the two models, including a minivan and a crossover SUV, would enter Vietnam in the coming months. They can compete with the Kia Carnival and Hyundai Palisade in the local market.
The GAC M8 first appeared at the 2022 Chengdu Motor Show in China and was introduced as the second generation of the GN8.
The minivan had previously been compared to the Toyota Alphard and the Lexus LM.

The GAC M8 features a length of 5,212 mm, a width of 1,893 mm, a height of 1,823 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,070 mm.
When it hits the Vietnamese market, the model is expected to compete with the Kia Carnival or the Volkswagen Viloran rather than the Toyota Alphard, which is priced at over VND4 billion (US$156,180) each.
The GAC M8 boasts an imposing large grille, seven seats, and a 14.6 multi-functional touchscreen, and is equipped with an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS).

The GS8 is also equipped with an ADAS and a 2.0L engine which can produce 252 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque.
