Cambodia’s bourse gets 12th corporate bond issuer
The Royal Group Phnom Penh SEZ Plc. became the 12th firm to list its corporate bonds on the Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) on Friday.
At the bond listing ceremony, CSX chief executive officer Hong Sok Hour said the special economic zone had issued 410,000 green bonds, raising about 10 million U.S. dollars for its business expansion.
He said the firm’s corporate bonds have a maturity date of five years.
“So far, CSX has received 23 listed companies, including 11 equity firms and 12 corporate bond firms, collecting a total capital of nearly 400 million U.S. dollars,” he said.
Launched in 2012, CSX is a joint venture between the Cambodian government, holding 55 percent of the stakes, and the Korean Exchange, owning the remaining 45 percent.
