Anti-dumping investigation into sugarcane extended

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has decided to extend its investigation and application of measures to prevent evasion of trade remedies on certain sugarcane products from some Southeast Asian countries.

The deadline has been set for June 11, 2024.

On November 15, 2023, the ministry's Trade Remedies Authority of Việt Nam received a complete and valid dossier from Kampong Speu Sugar Co, requesting to review a new exporter in terms of application of measures to prevent evasion of trade remedies on some sugarcane products from five countries including Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia and Myanmar.

On August 1, 2022, the ministry issued Decision No 1514/QĐ-BCT on the issue of some sugarcane products imported from these five nations.
