TikTok accompanies promoting digital commerce and tourism in HCM City with a series of events

A series of events at the HCM Shopper Entertainment Festival 2023-Bến Thành Heritage Market took place last week to enhance digital transformation to promote local tourism development while supporting medium and small businesses.

TikTok and HCM City Institute for Development Studies, Department of Information and Communications, and People's Committee of District 1 coordinated to deploy communication activities with the participation of more than 100 KOL, KOC, enterprise units, and TikTok Shop's MCN partners, including TikPlus Việt Nam, AEYES Livestreaming, Melive Network, and MultiMedia JSC.

The event aimed to increase the tourism potential for Bến Thành Market and assist small companies in utilising e-commerce's advantages to gain access to a new and efficient sales channel. The TikTok Shop team also provided comprehensive solutions to the common worries that small companies had when were initially introduced to this new sales strategy on digital platforms.

The series of events took place over six days including a tour to Bến Thành Market and nearby locations for TikTok short video content creators, livestream activity selling outstanding products of Bến Thành market on TikTok platform with the participation of nearly 100 content creators from MCN.

Nguyễn Lâm Thành, representative for TikTok Việt Nam hoped that the events would establish a foundation for micro, small, and medium-sized businesses to fully capitalise on the possibilities of e-commerce and leverage TikTok Shop to create new, efficient sales channels.
