Campaign to celebrate festive British food, drink launched in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City

Over 200 British products are being sold at Annam Gourmet grocery stores in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City as part of a campaign to celebrate British food and drink products in Vietnam.

The two-week 'GREAT Food for the Season' campaign was launched on Thursday by the British Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City in partnership with Annam Gourmet.

It features Christmas products typically in demand during the holiday season, including British chocolate, biscuits, shortbread, whisky, gin, and tea from British brands like Cadbury’s, Walkers, and English Tea Shop.

The products are on sale at ten Annam Gourmet stores from December 14 to 28 with discounts of up to 50 percent on chocolate products and up to 10 percent on other goods included in the campaign.

Samples will also be offered at five stores on December 14, 15, 21, and 22.

“We know that food is such a crucial part of any culture, and we’re thrilled to share a big part of our culture through food with the Vietnamese audience,” British Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Emily Hamblin said at the launch event in Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday.

“You can expect not only the incredible quality and diversity of British food and drink, but also world leading standards on areas such as food safety, animal welfare, and sustainability.

“The GREAT Food for the Season campaign is the perfect way to conclude an exciting year of activity in Vietnam during 2023, a special year where we have celebrated the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the UK and Vietnam.”

Annam Gourmet commercial and operations manager Anhais Leherpeur expressed her excitement to be a part of the event.

“This event is a testament to our commitment to bringing the finest international culinary experiences to our discerning customers,” she said.
