The price of biofuel RON92 is capped at VND22,610 ($0.92) per liter, up VND250 ($0.01), while the popular RON95 gasoline now sells for VND23,930 ($0.97) per liter, inching up VND410.
Meanwhile, the prices of oil products were revised down by VND370-550 ($0.01-0.02) per liter or kilogram.
Diesel oil is priced at VND21,940 ($0.89) per liter, dipping VND550 ($0.02).
Each liter of kerosene oil costs VND22,305 ($0.91), down VND450 ($0.01), while heavy fuel oil is offered at VND16,240 ($0.66) per kilogram, falling VND370 ($0.01).
During this fuel price adjustment, the two ministries decided not to allow fuel traders to tap the national fuel price stabilization fund as well as imposed no surcharges on gasoline and oil products.
The ministries attributed the fuel price fluctuations between October 23 and November 1 to various factors, including fuel supply disruptions caused by the Israel-Hamas conflict in the Middle East.
Since July 3 this year, gasoline prices in Vietnam have been revised up nine times, remained unchanged once, and adjusted downward twice.
