Hanoi to assess how land gets managed

The move aims to respond to the Official Telegram 965/CD-TTg released by the Prime Minister on October 13.

The move is in response to the Prime Minister's Official Telegram 965/CD-TTg issued on October 13 to address bottlenecks in the management and valuation of land.

It asked the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to strengthen supervision over land valuation and determine land prices, which will serve as a key factor in calculating land use fees and land rental fees. Supervision should not undermine the ability of development projects to meet their deadlines.

The department's inspection team is tasked to draw a conclusion on the responsibility of government agencies in delaying the fixing of land use and rental fees and submit the report to the Hanoi People's Committee by November 30.

The city committee also urges departments and agencies to speed up land valuation in Hanoi. Chairmen of district People's Committees will be assigned to oversee land valuation as authorized by the Hanoi People's Committee.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment and local people's committee chairmen are also asked to tighten discipline in their work and ensure that all tasks are done properly to save time for individuals, enterprises, and organizations.

The inspection team is tasked with scrutinizing the administrative procedures related to grating title deeds in the city.
