Hanoi seeks Chinese investment in urban planning and development

The Chinese group plans to set up its headquarters in Hanoi in the near future, considering the city as an important hub in the Southeast Asian region.

Hanoi hoped to cooperate with China Pacific Construction Group on various construction projects, such as the Tu Liem Bridge, Ha Dong Park, highways and urban railway projects, to ease traffic congestion and pollution.

Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung expressed the city's desire to attract investment from China Pacific Construction Group to the capital during a meeting with Yan Jiehe, Founder and Chairman of China Pacific Construction Group, in Hanoi on October 27.

The Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee wished the Chinese group to cooperate and contribute to the completion of the overall adjustment plan for the construction of Hanoi as the capital city until 2045 with a vision to 2065, including the development of the Hanoi Capital Region Master Plan for the period 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050, and the amendment of the Hanoi Capital Law.

Founder and Chairman of China Pacific Construction Group Yan Jiehe highly appreciated Hanoi's development orientation. He said his group has opened a research institute in Hanoi and is ready to provide consulting to address the city's concerns.

Affirming the company's credibility and capacity, he expressed the desire to cooperate with the city and bring the most successful experience to help Hanoi achieve its goals.

On the same day, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Duong Duc Tuan met Yan Jiehe, Founder and Chairman of China Pacific Construction Group.

Briefing the guest on the current development priorities of the capital city, the Vice Chairman said that Hanoi is focusing on building a synchronized and modern transportation system with national highways, expressways, ring roads, and intra-regional and inter-regional connections.

According to the Vice Chairman, several major projects involving foreign partners, from technology transfer to investment and consulting, such as the Hanoi West Lake - Hoa Lac Light Rail Project, Ha Dong Park, and the Tu Liem Bridge Project, play a key role in upgrading the city's transportation network and contributing to the urban landscape.

Expressing the desire for presence and long-term cooperation in Vietnam, Jiehe said the group plans to set up its headquarters in Hanoi in the near future, considering the city as an important hub for the company in the Southeast Asian region.

He reaffirmed his commitment to contributing to the implementation of infrastructure development projects in Hanoi with a focus on quality, progress and compliance with laws. He expressed his belief that the city will surely attract more international investors through its transparency, fairness and openness.
