HDBank receives Digital Innovation award at the ASEAN Business Awards 2023

Ho Chi Minh City Development Joint Stock Commercial Bank is the only bank in Vietnam to receive the "Digital Innovation" award by the ASEAN Business Awards - ABA 2023.

This is an award organised by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council since 2007 to honour businesses with outstanding achievements and contributions to the development of the region. The award ceremony took place within the framework of the 2023 ASEAN Business and Investment Summit in Jakarta, Indonesia, with the participation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Indonesian President Joko Widodo.

The award represents the recognition of international organisations for HDBank's digital innovation, which is of great significance to the region and ASEAN businesses. The digital innovation contributes to promoting trade and cooperation in the communities of Southeast Asian countries and around the world.

In August 2023, HDBank also bagged three digital transformation awards from the Vietnam Wealth Advisors Summit 2023 and Global Brands Magazine. HDBank continues to affirm its leading position in the digital transformation trend in the financial banking market.

With the spirit of "All in an App," up to now, HDBank has provided digital banking services with more than 100 features and connected more than 200 service providers to meet the maximum needs of customers in just one application.

At the same time, HDBank pioneered localising online business with website channels for 63 cities and provinces. HDBank has also optimised the automated marketing system, improved infrastructure, analysed user behaviour data, and optimised multichannel communication messages.

HDBank clearly understands the importance of data in the digital transformation process and has implemented many projects related to the use of big data, building a Recency, Frequency, Monetary model in 2021–2025. This model helps the bank understand customer behaviour and offer optimal products.

Along with improving the customer experience, the digital transformation also helps HDBank develop new digital products and services. The bank has developed mobile banking–an integrated internet banking system; electronic eKYC for retail banking customers; operational procedures for deposits, and a safe deposit box at the bank.

Meanwhile, its One Click Banking application (one-touch banking service) brings convenience to meet the versatile financial demands of customers.

Millions of Vietnamese people have gained better access to financial services thanks to HDBank's digital transformation journey. Over the years, HDBank has promoted lending to economy-driving sectors such as rural agriculture, the supply chain, small- and medium-sized enterprises, and local traders. The bank will build specialised lending applications for farmers, bringing them closer to modern agricultural development.

HDBank has become more attractive to customers by promoting digitalisation in business activities. As of June 30, 2023, the number of e-banking accounts had increased by 143 per cent over the same period. The total number of financial transactions on HDBank's eBanking digital channel also increased by more than 116 per cent compared to the first six months of 2022.

Along with strong digital transformation efforts and steadfast determination to take sustainable development as the guiding principle, HDBank has had many important achievements, including 10 consecutive years of profit growth.

Moving forward, HDBank will continue to deploy advanced core banking solutions and promote innovation in digital services, continuing to realise its goal of becoming a "Happy Digital Bank."
