The project was officially launched on September 21, 2022 to develop high-tech capabilities for the Vietnamese younger generation who will lead the future success of Industry 4.0.

It has been implemented at 33 schools in 12 provinces and cities across the country after one year, bringing opportunities for training and technology development for more than 3,200 students and teachers nationwide.

Choi Joo Ho, President of Samsung Vietnam Complex said: “With the vision of contributing to society for the future generation, Samsung is implementing a variety of activities to support the youth, helping them to build their own better world.

"Samsung will also try our best, not only being the 'largest FDI enterprise in Vietnam, the largest contributor to Vietnam's exports' but also the enterprise that makes the most efforts in training technology talent in Vietnam, and continuously develop to become an enterprise that always accompanies the Vietnamese people.”

Trần Văn Đạt - Acting Director of Political Education and Student Affairs Department, Ministry of Education and Training added: “Samsung Innovation Campus programme is one of the most valuable and practical programme.

"Through the call for companionship of the Ministry of Education and Training, we have engaged many different programmes, but it is undeniable that this is the most practical and valuable programme.

"We hope that in the near future, the Education sector will continue to receive the support and companionship of Samsung and JA Vietnam to continue implementing this programme annually.”

As part of the project, with the desire to create a healthy playground for students to fully demonstrate the acquired knowledge and skills as well as have the opportunity to interact with other counterparts that have the same passion across the country, the project coordinator organised the Science and Technology Innovation Competition "Innovation Tech Challenge - 2023" for students who have been participating in the SIC programme, with the Robocon format. This was also the first time the competition has applied this brand new format.

The competition has the participation of six university teams and eight high school teams from seven provinces. Teams built their own robot model and earn points by using their robots to compete on a same ground, overcoming tasks and obstacles.

The final result, after dramatic competitions, with ingenuity in skills and fully functional products, saw AD2 WIN teams from An Dương High School – Hải Phòng and WARRIOTS from Duy Tân University – Đà Nẵng become the two winning teams.
