Liberty Insurance wins at the IAAs for second year in a row

Liberty Insurance Limited, a subsidiary of the US-based Liberty Mutual Group, was recognized at the 2023 Insurance Asia Awards (IAAs) in the 'International General Insurer of the Year - Vietnam' and 'Auto Insurance Initiative of the Year - Vietnam' categories.

The win makes Liberty Insurance the first Vietnamese non-life insurer to receive four IAAs over two consecutive years, which is a testament to the team's commitment to delivering best-in-class experiences to both customers and partners.

The IAAs are prestigious in the Asia Pacific region and have been hosted annually since 2016 by Insurance Asia, the definitive magazine for Asia's insurance leaders. The awards recognise insurance firms that provide quality offerings to customers whilst also making a significant impact. They also seek to honour dedicated and innovative companies that keep up with the demands of the industry.

Coupled with the 'Outstanding Innovative Products and Services' award from IDG Vietnam earlier this year, this recognition from the IAAs is an affirmation of Liberty’s continuous efforts towards digitalisation and providing innovative products and services via seamless processes for customers, partners, and intermediaries. These wins support Liberty Insurance’s prominent position in the domestic and regional marketplaces.

Liberty Insurance entered the Vietnamese market in 2003 and was granted a licence in 2006 to operate as a US-owned general insurance company, with a commitment to provide "comprehensive protection and peace of mind" so their customers can “embrace today and confidently pursue tomorrow.”

Building on Liberty Mutual's 100 years of history and innovation, Liberty Insurance provides unique insurance benefits tailored to the Vietnamese market.

The company continues to grow after 20 years, with 10 offices, more than 320 employees, a free 24/7 hotline accompanied by a sophisticated website that allows customers to choose and buy insurance online, receiving insurance certificates almost instantly.

Liberty Insurance took a major step forward in 2023 with the successful launch of several new innovations that have revolutionised the digital journey and raised industry standards. Among these are features that allow customers to receive an AutoCare insurance quote in just one minute, so they can be rest assured that they will be comprehensively protected on international trips from Liberty TravelCare in just four simple steps.

These are significant improvements to the insurance management system that allow clients, partners, and agents to have the ability to access and find appropriate insurance products that are best suited to their needs. Liberty Insurance’s portal also allows users to quickly manage insurance policies, track claim processes, and conveniently perform a number of other automated tasks.

“Liberty Insurance focuses not only on promoting well-rounded products but also elevating the experience for customers, agents, and partners. This acknowledgement from the 2023 Insurance Asia Awards confirms Liberty Insurance’s strategy is sound,” said Nga Tran, head of Distribution at Liberty Insurance.

"Four Insurance Asia Awards over two consecutive years is the result of relentless effort from the entire Liberty team," she said.
