Morinaga Milk Industry launches products in Vietnam
Morinaga Milk Industry Company, Japan's leading dairy producer, has officially sold nutritional products made in Vietnam since November.
To strengthen business activities in potential markets like Vietnam through new sales channels, Morinaga Milk Industry products, including yoghurt and nutritional drinks, will be produced and distributed nationwide by Elovi Vietnam.
Elovi Vietnam general director Chihaya Takashi and Yoshinobu Masumoto, marketing director, shared Morinaga's development strategy in Vietnam
The first product to be launched was Climeal nutritional drink for the middle-aged and elderly. It contains 27 vitamins and minerals, including those often deficient in middle-aged people.
Climeal also provides up to 10 billion LAC-Shield beneficial bacteria that contribute to improving health. With three flavours and 260 Kcal in each box, it can replace a side meal for middle-aged and elderly people.
The second product brought to Vietnam is Morinaga low-fat yoghurt, a well-known fat-free yoghurt in Japan with two flavours of low sugar and low sugar aloe vera.
With a fermented formula from Japan, the product still retains its light acidity, coolness and natural sweetness. Each box contains 10 billion LAC-Shield probiotics to help keep the digestive system healthy.
With increasing awareness of people's health, the demand for dairy products will increase in the Vietnamese market from 2022 to 2031. The yoghurt market and the nutritional drink market are growing at an average annual rate of 8 per cent and 14 per cent, respectively.

Seizing the market's potential, Morinaga Milk Industry has a strategy to expand its business in Vietnam, and acquired shares of Elovi Vietnam in June 2021.
With advanced production technology and more than 100 years of experience in developing dairy products in the Japanese market, Morinaga Milk Industry focuses on researching healthy and nutritious product lines that meet the needs of consumers of all ages.
In its "Mid- and long-term sustainable development 2030" plan, Morinaga Milk Industry has set out the goal of "contributing to the health of 300 million people globally" by providing high-quality and unique products.
