According to the Quang Tri Province Department of Industry and Trade, industry promotion has helped connect state management agencies and businesses and link enterprises with consumers, helping expand production, innovate and apply advanced technology and equipment, develop branding, new products and products of high value, and improve competitiveness.
However, industry promotion programs remain less attractive to enterprises than One Commune One Product (OCOP) programs, vocational training programs for rural workers, and investment and financial policy programs for science and technology development.
The Quang Tri Province Department of Industry and Trade builds short-term and long-term solutions, further provides industry and trade promotion policy development and implementation consultancy for the provincial people's committee, continues reviewing and improving industry promotion policies, improves organizational structure, and boosts training for industry promotion staff.

Quang Tri Province has increased the annual industry promotion funding to encourage enterprises to invest in production and trading development while at the same time strengthening industry and trade promotion to help producers of outstanding rural industrial products expand investment, develop markets and improve management and product competitiveness. Quang Tri closely coordinates with localities to learn about the actual needs of rural industrial manufacturers to improve industry promotion efficiency.
The province provides guidelines for units to develop and implement annual industry promotion plans on schedule, and strengthens inspection and supervision to promptly detect and solve problems, if any.
It will also improve industry promotion and industrial development consultancy, and organize activities to learn about industry promotion experiences, energy efficiency and sustainable production and consumption models.
