Cao Bang helps rural manufacturers

Cao Bang Province’s industry promotion sector fulfilled 62.8 percent of its 2022 target by the end of September.

According to data from the Cao Bang Department of Industry and Trade, eight industry promotion projects worth a total of VND1.75 billion were approved for the province in 2022, including six local industry promotion projects worth VND850 million and two national industry promotion projects worth VND900 million.

The department believes industry promotion projects have helped rural industrial producers reach efficient investment, expand production and trading activities, improve their products’ competitiveness, develop markets and promote products and services through new equipment support, vocational training, rural industrial product development, information, and trade fair and exhibition programs.

Advanced machinery and equipment application projects prioritize farm produce and forest product processing firms and help them create new environmentally-friendly products, using local raw materials and human resources, in accordance with the province's smart agriculture development policy.

In order to fulfill the 2022 industry promotion target, the department has instructed relevant units to strengthen surveys and help rural industrial producers overcome difficulties and implement investment projects, find markets for their products, create connectivity chains, and develop branding.

In the long run, the department will continue national target programs to attract more resources for industry promotion, and develop industry promotion workforces.

The department proposed that the provincial people's committee and the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Agency for Regional Industry and Trade (ARIT) speedily approve annual industry promotion plans, and that the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the ARIT and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE) offer industry and trade promotion and e-commerce training courses.
