NovaGroup: 30 years of brightening lives
In 1990 the Law on Private Enterprises was passed. On April 15, 1992, the Constitution Law was approved by the National Assembly. This was the fundamental legislation required to convert a collective economy into a market economy.
Thus, on September 18, 1992, Thanh Nhon Co., Ltd, the predecessor of NovaGroup, became one of the very first private enterprises to be established in the country.
Over the course of the last 30 years NovaGroup has faced and overcome numerous difficulties. As the sayings go, "When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it" and “Success is determined not by what we have achieved but by the obstacles we have overcome.”
NovaGroup maintains an unwavering commitment to its long-term vision and strategy of “The development of the Group is closely tied with the development of the country.”
Since its early days NovaGroup has collaborated with reputed partners to introduce new technologies used in the veterinary medicine industry to Vietnam, enabling it to transition from being an importing industry to an exporter.
As the country developed rapidly, NovaGroup gradually shifted from agricultural production to services and investment in and development of urban real estate.

NovaGroup has now entered phase 3 of its sustainable strategic roadmap, building a diverse ecosystem that focuses on Services – Technology – Industry through 8 corporations: Novaland, Nova Service, Nova Consumer, Nova Tech, Nova Logistic, Nova Industry, Nova Finance, Nova Capital Partners. A strong ecosystem will help provide products and services of international standard to the community, helping create megacities associated with local development and new tourism destinations in line with the National Tourism Development Strategy.
Besides more than 40 projects in HCM City, NovaGroup continues to develop the 1,000-hectare Aqua City smart ecological township (Bien Hoa, Dong Nai) and NovaWorld Ho Tram (Ba Ria-Vung Tau).
In Binh Thuan Province, NovaGroup is developing a new international tourism destination, NovaWorld Phan Thiet, on a total land area of 1,000 hectares and with an investment of nearly $5 billion. The first phase of the project has become operational. It offers over 200 amenities including a theme park and a water park operated by Daemyung Sono, a leading entertainment group from South Korea; a 10,000-seat arena; a 36-hole PGA golf course; an ATP tennis court with 3,500 seats; a marathon running track; campsites; outlet stores; amusement at nighttime; a 16-hectare bikini beach park; a wellness centre, a cancer diagnosis and treatment hospital in partnership with Harvard Medical School; beauty salons, training schools for nursery and hospitality; a retirement centre; over 20 resorts managed and operated by the most well-known international brands; and many more.

Proudly carrying the green Rubik’s cube logo of NovaGroup on their chest, all Novators adopt the core values of efficiency, integrity and professionalism as a guide in all their activities.
The years 2020 and 2021 were a time when the pandemic disrupted the whole world. The 29th anniversary of NovaGroup in 2021 was thus unforgettable as our Novators worked day and night during the peak of the pandemic, not for project development but to help with the establishment of isolation zones, field hospitals, and intensive care centres for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.
Dedicated and diligent Novators also carried out other key activities like setting up vaccination centres and ‘Zero VND Supermarkets’ to provide food and necessities to those in need in isolation areas. No challenge could stop Novators from spreading compassion in the community.
The 1,000-hectare NovaWorld Phan Thiet coastal mega city, tourism and wellness project at an estimated 5 billion USD investment.
Now, as the pandemic draws to an end, the entire team of Novators continues is making all-out efforts at new projects and in new industries to create a diverse ecosystem and bring more and better values to the community.
30 years of contributing to country's development
Being a listed company and part of the VN30 benchmark index and having its convertible bonds listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange, Novaland is one of the most prestigious Vietnamese brands in the international capital market.
Many of its financial partners are reputed banks and financial institutions, which enables the company to integrate into the international business community.
NovaGroup operates with deference to the law and a sense of social responsibility through sustainable development.
This is manifested through stable employment, proviosion of jobs and welfare in local communities, partipation in the country’s reform of agricultural and consumer sectors through Nova Consumer, and enhanced services in commerce, healthcare and education through Nova Service, etc.
Now the conglomerate is entering a new industry, shipbuilding, through Nova Industry.
Furthermore, Novaland is working with An Giang and Dong Thap Provinces to plan and develop the Vinh Xuong (An Giang) and Thuong Phuoc (Dong Thap) border-gate economic zones to create a border city called Mekong Smart City.
The city is expected to become a regional tourism destination, a logistics centre for the Mekong sub-region, and a processing hub for agricultural and aquatic products, helping remove bottlenecks in the Mekong Delta and reducing economic migration.
It will be an economic hub for the 13 Mekong-subregion provinces, and contribute to turning Vietnam into a developed country by 2045.
NovaGroup's contributions have been widely recognised both at home and abroad.
In July 2022 President Nguyen Xuan Phuc awarded the Labor Medal, second class to No Va Land Investment Group Corporation, a tremendous honour and motivation for the entire team to keep striding forward.
