ACLEDA Bank gets Custodian Agent certificate from securities regulator
Public-listed ACLEDA Bank Plc has obtained a certificate recognition of Custodian Agent from the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC).
According to its filing on Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX), a custodian agent is a new service of the bank to provide custodian services in the securities sector.
Key benefits offered to local and foreign investors include investment in professional and highly efficient securities service, ability to manage cash and securities in the securities sector, and access to banking and financial services.
The main functions of custodian services in the securities sector consist of cash custody account, securities custody account, and services of custodian agent.
ACLEDA is the only commercial bank listed on the Main Board of CSX. It went public on May 25, 2020.
On December 1, 2003, the bank received a licence from the National Bank of Cambodia to become a commercial bank, providing comprehensive banking services.
The stock closed 80 riel higher at 12,480 ($3.08) for a market capitalisation of $1.3 billion on April 13.
