Thua Thien Hue Province supports advanced machinery application

 According to the Trade Promotion Center under the Department of Industry and Trade in Thua Thien Hue Province, 11 industry promotion projects were implemented in 2021 at a total cost of more than VND1.2 billion to help rural industrial enterprises apply advanced equipment and machinery, improve production capacity and product quality, and meet increasing market demand.

In 2021, eight industry promotion projects were implemented to help rural industrial enterprises in the central province of Thua Thien Hue apply advanced machinery and equipment in farm produce and food processing, create better quality products, reduce production costs, increase competitiveness, revenue and workers’ income, and improve food safety and hygiene.

According to the center, five of the eight projects, with a capital of more than VND400 million, have been accepted and handed over to beneficiaries. They include application of advanced machinery and equipment to production of dried cassava slices at the Nguyen Phi Trung establishment, dried rice vermicelli at the Chau Van Bac facility, Cordyceps mushrooms at the NASARA Cooperative, aluminum doors at the Hung Thinh Window service, trading and production Co., Ltd., and tofu skin at the Phu Loc vegetarian food household business. The remaining three projects were expected to be competed and handed over to beneficiaries by the end of 2021.

Vo Dai Tho, owner of the Phu Loc vegetarian food household business, said the industry promotion program helped his business build a warehouse for deep freezing, contributing to the facility’s increased output, revenue and product quality, and creating more jobs.

“The program helped us prepare and improve legal documents related to food safety and hygiene and sales connectivity, and add value to our brand, apart from assisting us to apply advanced equipment and machinery,” Tho said.

Thua Thien Hue is implementing a project to develop rural industry to 2025 with a total capital of almost VND1.9 trillion, giving priority to the province’s potential industries and products.

The provincial Department of Industry and Trade’s leadership said Thua Thien Hue is pursuing green, sustainable industrial development based on local raw materials, high-quality human resources and environmental protection. The province will promote application of science and technology in rural industrial production, focus on the quality and diversity of products, and combine traditional and advanced technologies in order to improve the quality and competitiveness of rural industrial products.
