Urban revolution to turn Tuy Hoa into flourishing cityscape

Urban infrastructure in Tuy Hoa of Phu Yen province will be elevated to new heights when planning projects are implemented and new real estate projects are developed in the city.

Currently, Tuy Hoa is becoming more modern with a slew of new real estate projects under construction such as a mixed-use project in Ward 7 and projects along Hung Vuong street by big investors like Vingroup, APEC Group, and Dat Xanh.

In addition, several new projects are in the pipeline such as a high-class mixed-use residential project along Road N3 that is being planned for construction and another on Tran Hung Dao street. The projects are expected to create a new facade for Tuy Hoa urban area. The provincial authority has issued a resolution to lead the development and upgrade of Tuy Hoa city to meet the criteria of a grade 1 urban area under Phu Yen by 2025.

The province aspires to transform Tuy Hoa into a major hub for transportation, training, tourism, and industry in the south-central coast and Central Highlands, serving as a catalyst for Phu Yen’s socioeconomic development. The province will not only invest in urban development and expansion but also take steps to meet urban criteria. Thus, Tuy Hoa can be recognised as a Grade I city directly under the province by 2025.

Tran Huu The, Chairman of Phu Yen People’s Committee, said that Tuy Hoa will expand in the direction of a coastal city, an ecological city, and gradually transform into a smart city. “Currently, Phu Yen is setting up an urban development programme for Tuy Hoa city for 2021-2025 with a vision towards 2035 on the basis of the project to adjust the general planning of the city and its vicinity by 2040. The programme will focus on enhancing Tuy Hoa’s urban landscape architecture as well as facilitating the establishment of three new wards of Binh Ngoc, Binh Kien, and An Phu,” he added.

He noted that to raise Tuy Hoa to new heights, Phu Yen will focus on investing in the main urban roadways according to the approved planning. The roads will shape the urban space and create a driving force for the city. Projects include the extension of Nguyen Trai street, Nguyen Trai Bridge to the Ngoc Lang urban area, extending Tran Phu street to the National Highway No.1A, and the coastal landscape route and ocean park in the north from the Nordic tourist area to the An Phu sea embankment.

Phu Yen will invest in new urban and residential areas with synchronous, modern, and sustainable infrastructure in line with the approved planning. The province will accelerate essential procedures to deploy investment in key urban regions such as the Ngoc Lang urban area, the north and south Tuy Hoa urban areas, the urban area in DL1 and No.19 land areas, and the south bank of the Ba River from the old Da Rang Bridge to the new one.
