In recent years, Quang Binh Province’s Industry and Trade Promotion Center enabled rural industrial enterprises to participate in trade fairs and exhibitions, and supply-demand connection conferences inside and outside Vietnam in order to help them access and expand markets.
The number of regional and national-level industrial products in the central province of Quang Binh has increased. In 2016, Quang Binh had only one regional-level and one national-level notable industrial product. In 2020, the province had 46 products recognized as provincial-level notable industrial products, mostly fine art and handicrafts, farm produce, forest products, seafood, foodstuffs, and mechanical products. Of the 46 products, 41 have been recognized at provincial-level, 10 certified as notable products of the central region and the Central Highlands, and five recognized as national-level outstanding rural industrial products.
Product position
Producers in craft villages and rural industrial production facilities need to develop professional design, branding and dispute handling teams, and continually improve their products in accordance with market specifications. Many of them need assistance from the state and other authorities in product branding.
According to the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap’s industry promotion center, attractive packaging and design will help rural industrial producers sell and promote branding in the fastest and most effective way. The center’s related assistance program is expected to help manufacturers improve product design and attract buyers.
Specifically, the center has plans to assist six rural industrial enterprises and establishments in product design. It will continue such assistance to help promote sales of outstanding rural industrial products, especially those recognized as notable.
