Honouring typical member banks in 2021

Viet Nam National Payment Corporation (NAPAS) held a ceremony to honour typical member banks.

The ceremony was a part of NAPAS Member Banking Conference annual event.

Techcombank was honoured with 'Bank of the Year 2021'award. They are a leading bank in terms of total number of transactions and total transaction value of all services processed through NAPAS system.

They are also the bank with the most comprehensive contribution to the NAPAS system and network.

Vietcombank, MB and VietinBank are the three typical banks, receiving the 'Outstanding Performance Bank' award. These banks have had high growth in total number of transactions, total transaction value of all services handled through the NAPAS switching system and have made great contributions to the NAPAS system and network.

The total number and value of transactions processed through the NAPAS system in 2021 grew by 94 per cent in transactions and 131 per cent in transaction value respectively, compared to last year.

The number of customers served grew by more than 80 per cent this year compared to last year.

The proportion of cash withdrawal transactions via ATM to total transactions processed through the NAPAS system continued to decline sharply, from 26 per cent last year to 12 per cent this year, reflecting the shift translation and strong development of non-cash payments.
