Dong Nai launches women’s startup program in 2022

Recently, Dong Nai Women's talkshow on entrepreneurship and innovation took place successfully in the province, attracting the participation of many women who are eager and passionate about starting a business.

The talkshow is jointly organized by the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology and the Provincial Women's Union Association, and is part of the TechFest Dong Nai 2021 series of events.

At the event, Ms. Le Thi Thai, Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union Association, informed about the implementation of the Project to support women starting a business in the period of 2017 - 2025, and said that the Association has always accompanied and helped women members overcome barriers to start a business. Besides the activities to support capital and knowledge, every year the Association organizes activities such as: Women's Day of Creativity - Entrepreneurship; contest to find women's startup ideas/projects to create more opportunities and motivation for women to start a business to exchange, connect, share experiences and learn from each other.

The participants also shared more about content such as issues related to mechanisms and policies to support the innovation startup ecosystem, the role of intellectual property, advantages and disadvantages in accessing and implementing policies to support women’s startup. In addition, attendees also mentioned issues such as women starting a business associated with the one-commune-one-product (OCOP) program, adding value to OCOP products, advantages and disadvantages of women's entrepreneurship, successful business experiences through the application of technology and social networks, activities to improve knowledge and skills for women starting a business.

At the talkshow, the Provincial Women's Union Association also launched the women's startup program in 2022. Through the program, the Association called on members to continue effectively implementing the plan, the conclusion related to supporting women in starting a business, in order to continue to promote the achieved results, widely spread the start-up movement among women in the province. At the same time, the Association calls on everyone to propaganda and mobilize women to implement the Party's guidelines, policies and State laws on entrepreneurship, starting a business. The members are encouraged to actively participate in start-up activities organized by the Association and activities to develop innovative and creative start-up ecosystems organized inside and outside the province, as well as activities to connect and exchange businesswomen in the province. The association also mobilizes women members to join the provincial women's start-up support club to have more opportunities to exchange, learn and grasp timely policies on supporting startups, supporting women in production and business.
