SLP announces second logistics development in Vietnam

SLP Park Long Hau on November 15 held the ground-breaking ceremony in Long An province, officially marking its second logistics development and reinforcing its long-term commitment to the Vietnam market.

"SLP's goal is to bring world-class industrial and logistics infrastructure to Southeast Asia and support regional economic development, with Vietnam as our first destination. We recognise that Vietnam has numerous opportunities to develop and attract foreign direct investment. The country's logistics industry is experiencing strong growth due to many free trade agreements and the rapid expansion in e-commerce," said Jenkin Chiang, CEO and a founding partner of SLP.

SLP Park Long Hau will have two warehouses with a net leasable area of more than 51,000sq.m

SLP Park Long Hau is the first project of SLP in the southern market of Vietnam after its first project (SLP Park Haiphong) in northern Vietnam.

Upon completion, SLP Park Long Hau will feature two double-story warehouses with a net leasable area of more than 51,000 square metres. The project’s first phase is expected to be completed by the end of 2022 and the second phase in the first half of 2023.

SLP Park Long Hau is located in the Long Hau 3 Industrial Park, 19km from Ho Chi Minh City, 3km from Hiep Phuoc Port, and 14km from Phu My Hung Urban Area.

Its strategic location connects Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta's 12 provinces and is an ideal location for urban and last-mile logistics and international freight logistics services for e-commerce companies as well as nearby manufacturers.

Since entering Vietnam in October 2020 through a joint venture with GLP, SLP has acquired six development sites with a total land area of more than 780,000sq.m.

SLP will initially focus on Vietnam's two largest markets, Greater Hanoi and Greater Ho Chi Minh City, and nearby provinces to leverage GLP's fund management, development, operational expertise and resources, and extensive global customer network. SLP is committed to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives and is focused on making sustainability a core component of its business by practicing responsible investing and development and promoting greater well-being in Vietnam.

SLP has named Uc Phat Construction Services Trading Co., Ltd. as the general contractor for this project.
