Shares retreat on increased selling force

Shares retreated on Tuesday morning on increased selling pressure focusing on real estate and heavy-weight stocks.

 

The VN-Index on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) lost 0.30 to close at 1,472.09 points.

The market's breadth was negative, with 320 stocks declining while 133 stocks increased.

More than 803 million stocks were traded on the southern market, worth nearly VND31.6 trillion.

The VN30-Index, tracking 30 biggest stocks on HoSE, fell 0.33 per cent, to 1,523.58 points.

Of the VN30 basket, 10 stocks climbed, while 17 slid and three ended flat.

On Ha Noi Stock Exchange (HNX), the HNX-Index gained 1.52 per cent, to 451.04 points.
