The pictorial showcase for Aus4Innovation, an AUD13.5 million ($10.4 million) program aimed to strengthen Vietnam's innovation system, prepare for and embrace opportunities associated with Industry 4.0, presented opportunities to connect businesses, researchers and government agencies in both Australia and Vietnam.

Via the program, around 130 organizations have been connected and eight innovation projects funded with a total AUD3.6 million.

Examples include a project to grow 20,000 black teatfish using molecular biology technology in the central coastal town Nha Trang, a project utilizing cooling technology to store vegetables in the northern mountainous province of Son La, and a water filtration project for the Red River Delta and central Vietnam.

Such initiatives should help policymakers be better prepared, using strategic tools and data to create an adaptable framework for innovation. The initiatives would also help individuals and organizations effectively commercialize scientific and technological findings.

The Aus4Innovation program is the result of Australia-Vietnam Innovation Partnership launched in 2017.
