VN-Index rises nearly 11 points on real estate stocks

Shares continued their rally during Monday's trade with the VN-Index posting a gain of nearly 11 points on real estate and materials stocks.

 

On the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE), the benchmark VN-Index increased by 0.88 per cent, equivalent to 10.8 points, to 1,242.46 points. The market breadth was positive with 245 stocks climbing, while 169 stocks declined.

The market's liquidity was high as domestic investors poured over VND14.45 trillion into the southern market in the morning session, equivalent to a trading volume of over 623.7 million shares.

The VN30-Index, which tracks the 30 biggest stocks in market capitalisation, rose 1.3 per cent to 1,269.51 points. Of the VN30 basket, 14 stocks increased while 13 stocks slid and three ended flat.

The gain of big real estate stocks was the main contribution to the market's rally. In the top five stocks influencing the market's trend, three were from real estate sectors.

Of which, Vingroup JSC (VIC) was the biggest gainer in market capitalisation this morning, up 4.08 per cent.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange (HNX), the HNX-Index rose 0.3 per cent to 294.66 points. The HNX30-Index also increased 0.34 per cent to 449.76 points.
