Shares go up thanks to blue-chips

Shares extended gains on Tuesday morning thanks to the growth of blue-chip stocks.

 

On the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE), the VN-Index increased1.33 per cent to 1,277.30 points with the market breadth turning positive. In the morning trade, 214 stocks climbed while 193 stocks declined.

The market's liquidity was high with over 488 million shares traded, worth over VND13 trillion.

The VN30-Index also posted gains this morning, up 1.25 per cent to 1,322.60 points. Twenty-four stocks in the VN30 basket gained while 4 decreased.

Large-caps performed well, including FPT Corporation (FPT), Masan Group (MSN), Vietcombank (VCB), Vinamilk (VNM), Vietjet (VJC), Vincom Retail (VRE), Vinhomes (VHM) and Mobile World Group (MWG).

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange (HNX), the HNX-Index gained 0.19 per cent to 296.33 points while the HNX30-Index gained by 0.17 per cent.
