Practical support
Lazada has cooperated with banks to bring forward preferential loan packages, helping sellers overcome difficulties or expand their scale. Tran Lam, owner of Julyhouse, has made good use of this policy to invest in the production of hand sanitizers. Lam said the profit from hand sanitizers has helped the company develop other items, such as HeVieFood and hair care products.
James Dong, general director of Lazada Vietnam, said Lazada has made many changes to adapt to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and will continue to accompany brands and sellers in 2021.
The number of sellers and brands coming on board doubled in 2020. In the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, Lazada deployed an economic stimulus package for 110,000 small- and medium-sized enterprises. In addition, Lazada University announced cooperation with Google in November 2020 to organize free digital training courses for online sellers, helping improve their sales.
