Gamuda Land Vietnam honoured with Golden Dragon Award

Gamuda Land Vietnam has received the prestigious Golden Dragon Award handed out at the Connections for Development forum 2021.

Ng Teck Yow, general director of Gamuda Land Vietnam made an appearance at the Connections for Development Forum 2021 to offer insights at a discussion panel and receive the Golden Dragon Award.

Themed "Presenting opportunities and challenges from the movement of FDI flows in the new context", the forum was co-organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnam Economic Times on April 26 in Hanoi.

Addressing the audience during the discussion session, Yow said, the foreign investor community has grown and present in most provinces and cities of Vietnam, in important fields.

In its economic development strategy in the coming period, Gamuda Land Vietnam is committed to making long-term investments with the Vietnamese government to maximise efficiency and better quality, achieve development standards and add value to customers and improve social responsibility.

Giving a speech at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh also said, “The foreign direct investment (FDI) sector continues to be an important economic driver, contributing to making Vietnam more prosperous."

On this special occasion, Gamuda Land Vietnam was conferred the Golden Dragon Award 2020-2021 and was recognised as the leading company in environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) by incorporating these factors into its investment strategy. The company has been making strong efforts to minimise its impact on the environment, improve corporate social responsibility, and strengthen corporate governance.

This is a big trend for responsible developers. This requires investors and businesses to have a broader vision, have a full understanding of the opportunities and the dangers facing them, in order to arrange resources in a way that provides both short- and long-term benefits to customers and other beneficiaries. This achievement shows that Gamuda Land Vietnam always strives and maintains its position as a leading foreign developer in Vietnam in the real estate sector.

The timing of the award is also important as Gamuda Land Vietnam is implementing the new phase of the Gamuda City project in Hanoi – one of the largest urban projects in Vietnam spread across nearly 300ha, in the green and peaceful embrace of Yen So Park, the "green lungs of Hanoi". The renewable strategy of the Gamuda City brand is proceeding, once again confirming that Gamuda Land Vietnam is no longer an investor specialising in simple construction solutions but a responsible green living urban developer safeguarding the environment, society, and the community.

The Golden Dragon Award has been held annually by Vietnam Economic Times since 2001 to honour foreign-invested enterprises producing and doing business in Vietnam.

Over 10 years of development, Gamuda Land Vietnam not only develops reputable urban areas but also pioneers in the creation of modern, civilised urban areas, and community connections. This prestigious award is a great honour for the business and affirms that Gamuda Land Vietnam is heading in the right direction. At the same time, these fair assessments are also a great source of motivation for businesses to continue their outstanding efforts in the coming time.
