The Department of Industry and Trade of Binh Duong Province has completed all of its assigned plans for 2020, ensuring both the volume and quality of industry promotion projects.

According to the Binh Duong Department of Industry and Trade, the total budget for the provincial industry promotion in 2020 was VND4.63 billion. Accordingly, the department approved 20 industry promotion plans and schemes with funding of more than VND4.25 billion. The industrial promotion program has supported the development of technical demonstration models; handled technology transfers and application of scientific and technical advances in industrial and handicraft production; built pilot models of applying cleaner production for nine enterprises and rural industrial establishments with a total funding of VND2.97 billion.
The province also conducted a selection of outstanding rural industry products, recognized 27 products of 24 establishments as outstanding industrial products of Binh Duong Province, with 13 of them recognized as outstanding rural industrial products in the southern region. In addition, the province helped establishments participate in trade fairs of the Central and Central Highlands regions in Quang Binh Province, introducing and displaying outstanding rural industrial products.
A representative of the Binh Duong Department of Industry and Trade said that in 2020, the support for enterprises from the industry promotion program has completed 100 percent of the assigned plan. Information about industrial promotion policies was broadcast on mass media in various and diversified forms, helping improve the effectiveness of industry promotion in the past year, improving the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises, creating motivation to invest in rural industrial production, and creating a spillover of the industry promotion policies into local businesses.
In 2021, the province will continue to implement programs to build technical demonstration models; handle technology transfers and application of scientific and technical advances in industrial and craft production; build pilot models of applying cleaner production; develop industrial clusters, open classes to improve management capacity and implement industry promotion activities in the province.
