Japfa Comfeed Vietnam inaugurates the 6th animal feed mill in Binh Dinh

Japfa Comfeed Vietnam Co., Ltd. (“Japfa Vietnam”), officially inaugurates a modern and high-tech feedmill in Nhon Hoa Industrial Park, An Nhon District, Binh Dinh Province, South Central Vietnam. The operation of their 6th feedmill is aimed to supply high-quality animal feed.

The feedmill has been constructed in an area of 7 hectares in a planned industrial park that cost a total investment capital of about VND300 billion, equivalent to USD13 million. Equipped with modern production line and advanced technology, its designed capacity of 180,000 tonnes of animal feed per year. Before the completion of this 6th feedmill in Binh Dinh, Japfa Vietnam has been operating 5 animal feedmills in various places across the country such as Vinh Phuc, Thai Binh, Hoa Binh, Long An and Binh Thuan provinces.

Being defined as one of the key projects of Japfa Vietnam in 2020, the inauguration ceremony today has been graced by the presence of guests of honors such as Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Binh Dinh’s People's Committee; Mr. Phung Duc Tien - Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; Mr. Ibnu Hadi – Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in Vietnam; and honorable guests from various sectors.

In the solemn atmosphere of the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Arif Widjaja - General Director of Japfa Vietnam, said, “Despite the Covid-19 pandemic and the threats of ASF and other factors we still successfully placed and affirmed our commitment to continuous development. With the mission of “Growing towards mutual prosperity”, Japfa Binh Dinh will help offering more values to stakeholders, creating more jobs and giving more opportunity of participation for local people. We also expect to contribute more to the development and prosperity of Binh Dinh particularly and Vietnam generally”.

“Along with other five, the official operation of this 6th feedmill will facilitate the achievement of some key targets in both short and long term such as obtaining one million tonnes of feed in 2020, occupying approximately 5 percent of market share and keeping average growth of 12 percent per annum”, added Mr. Arif.

With the right strategies and strong determination, Japfa Vietnam is showing why it has been remaining in the list of leading players in the animal agriculture industry for decades by successfully overcoming negative situations and claimed their sustainable development despite the disruption and fluctuation of 2020. In October, Japfa Vietnam kicked off a high-tech fattening swine farm project in Binh Phuoc Province, a project reportedly known as one of the biggest single fattening swine farms of the country with total investment capital of VND500 billion, equivalent to US$22 million. The farm is located in an area of 40 hectares, capable of raising 48,000 fattening pigheads and estimated to supply more than 14,000 tonnes of livepigs per year. Earlier, in July 2020, Japfa Vietnam officially launched its first aquafeed products and set a 10 years target of achieving accumulated sales of 200,000 tonnes of aquafeed per year.

Japfa Vietnam is well known in feed and farm business with 6 feedmills, more than 300 professional poultry and swine farms, more than 20 meatshops serving fresh meat and processed food products under Japfa Best brand. The farming business has become a core strength of Japfa Vietnam when it successfully adopts advanced technologies and worldwide best practices to the farming system covering from GGP/GP, PS and commercial farms.

Receiving the strong support from the central and local governments and the cooperation of all partners, Japfa Vietnam is ambitiously targeting 2 million tonnes of feed in the next 5 years with more feedmills project in coming years and reaffirming the position as one of the leading feed and animal agriculture producers in Vietnam.
