VSIP Quang Ngai receives coveted award for Green Industrial Park 2020

VSIP Quang Ngai was conferred “The Green Industrial Park 2020” award by the Consultant Association of Information Economic-Trade (VCAIET) under the management of the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

The ceremony took place at Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hanoi and broadcasted live on the Hanoi Channel.

The award assessment has leveraged diverse criteria, including how Vietnam Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) Quang Ngai has developed its infrastructure in accordance with environmental protection requirements, how the integrated township and industrial park model of VSIP Quang Ngai has provided unities as well as applied new technologies for sustainable development, or what effective methods VSIP Quang Ngai has used for environment and resource management.

The award for VSIP Quang Ngai once again confirms the significance of providing an integrated work, live, and play environment through the integrated township and IP model.

The contribution to local community development was another important factor.

VSIP Quang Ngai was built on 600 hectares of land in Dung Quat Economic Zone and 520ha of adjacent urban land with an investment capital of $337.8 million in 2013.

It has attracted a total of $733 million in foreign direct investment and created jobs for over 35,000 workers.

VSIP Quang Ngai, located 8km north of Quang Ngai town in Son Tinh district, is one of eight VSIP-style parks nationwide, including in the provinces of Bac Ninh, Haiphong, Hai Duong, and Nghe An, in addition to three IPs in Binh Duong province.
