CenLand (CRE) geared towards stable growth in 2020

As the leader of the brokerage market, Century Land JSC (CenLand, HSX: CRE) is always seizing opportunities to conquer challenges and has achieved upbeat results from the outset of the year.

The bright spot in the market

On June 12, 2020, CenLand is going to hold its general annual shareholders' meeting (AGM) to review the business performance in the first quarter of the year and to discuss its business plan in the next quarters as well as growth strategy in 2020.

According to the plan submitted to the company’s AGM 2020, CenLand will pay 2019 cash dividends to shareholders at 10 per cent, the revenue plan is expected to increase by 5 per cent over 2019. When many real estate firms are expecting negative growth without dividend, CenLand's plan is a bright spot in the market.

CenLand targets revenue from real estate sales and brokerage to rise by 4 per cent to VND1.334 trillion ($58 million), secondary investment by 5 per cent to VND1.050 billion ($45.65 million) and after-tax profit by 2 per cent to VND400 billion ($17.4 million). If this plan is completed, the company will post earnings per share (EPS) of about VND5,000 ($0.21) apiece.

In the midst of the COVID-19 lockdown, although sales opening events and communications were affected, the company has still recorded numerous successful transactions involving mid-end apartments and terraced houses.

The Cenhomes.vn platform has proved effective during the compulsory social distancing period, providing customers with useful information. The platform offers homebuyers lively visual experiences thanks to VR technology.

3D images of every project as well as their neighbourhoods are enclosed with the real estate information. As a result, the volume of successful transactions through this platform has doubled and even tripled.

When the COVID-19 pandemic is under control, CenLand has come back with lots of big plans. The company is selling and marketing more and more quality projects of prestigious real estate developers.

Currently, CenLand maintains its leadership in the nortnern brokerage market, where it holds a 40 per cent market share. This year, the company has been successfully selling projects such as Vuon Sen (Bac Ninh), The Central (Thanh Hoa), International Overseas Vietnamese Village (Haiphong), and Dolphin (Hanoi), to name but a few.

When the COVID-19 pandemic was brought under control, CenLand has returned with big plans. The company is selling and marketing more and more quality projects of prestigious real estate developers.

Hailing the fresh investment wave post-coronavirus, CenLand launched Cen Cuckoo serviced apartments. Cen Cuckoo is the first large-scale service apartment brand in Vietnam in the logistics real estate sector that the group intends to deploy in the coming time. Eurowindow River Park (Dong Anh, Hanoi) is the first apartment project to adopt this model.

Breakthrough from the core value

At a recent conference on the company’s business plan for 2020, CenLand chairman said, “Brokerage is always CenLand’s core value, so maintaning and even strengthening our sales force is a vital task."

In its ecosystem, Cen Academy is in charge of carrying out professional training courses of international standards to meet the needs of realtors.

Every year, the sales force at CenLand sells and markets tens of thousands of real estate products to homebuyers. In 2019 alone, over 11,000 successful transactions were wrapped up through CenLand.

In the post-pandemic time, CenLand has mulled over diverse plans to discuss with shareholders at the upcoming AGM 2020 in order to remain the leading brokerage in the market.
