Reference exchange rate up 7 VND

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,223 VND per USD on April 14, up 7 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,919 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,527 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banks saw increases.

At 8:25 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,320 VND/USD, and the selling rate at 23,530 VND/USD, both up 10 VND from the same time on April 13.

BIDV raised both rates by 20 VND, offering the buying rate at 23,360 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,540 VND/USD.

Techcombank kept the buying rate unchanged from the previous day at 23,355 VND/USD, and raised the selling rate by 40 VND to 23,555VND/USD.
