Reference exchange rate up 11 VND on January 31

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,196 VND/USD on January 31, up 11 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,891 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,500 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at most commercial banks saw increases.

At 8:20 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,075 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,245 VND/USD, unchanged from the same time on the previous day.

Meanwhile, BIDV added 25 VND to both rates, with the buying rate listed at 23,125 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,265 VND/USD.

Techcombank listed the buying rate at 23,120 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,260 VND/USD, up 27 VND from January 30.
