HoSE makes changes to large-cap basket

The Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) has made changes to its large-cap VN30 basket.

The southern market regulator recently decided to add stock codes of petrol group Petrolimex (PLX) and PetroVietnam Power Corporation (POW) to the basket.

The two new codes will replace PetroVietnam Fertiliser and Chemicals Corporation (DPM) and logistics firm Gemadept (GMD).

The southern bourse also announced a list of substitute stocks for the VN30 basket including TPBank (TPB), ceramic and tile producer Viglacera (VGC) and Khang Dien House Trading and Investment JSC (KDH).

The adjustment of the large-cap basket will come into effect on February 3 and end on July 31, 2020.

The large-cap VN30 basket tracks the performance of the 30 largest stocks by market capitalisation and trading liquidity on HoSE.

The VN30-Index yesterday gained 0.29 per cent to end at 897.40 points.

The VN30-Index-based exchange-traded fund VFMVN30 ETF will complete its portfolio review on January 31.
