Gasoline dips, other fuels rise

Domestic prices of RON95 petrol and bio-fuel E5 RON92 were lowered, while other fuels picked up by VND54-VND170 per liter or kilogram, starting at 3 p.m. today, December 16, after the national fuel price stabilization fund was used.

E5 RON92 is now quoted at VND19,729 per liter, down VND90. The current ceiling price of the higher-octane RON95-III gasoline is VND20,886 per liter, down VND192, reported local media.

Meanwhile, diesel oil 0.05S, kerosene and heavy fuel oil increased by VND75, VND54 and VND170 and were priced at VND16,063, VND15,016 and VND11,358 per liter or kilogram, respectively.

During this price adjustment, local fuel traders can extract VND100 for each liter of E5 RON92, kerosene or diesel oil sold to replenish the fund. The respective extraction levels for each liter or kilogram of RON95 gasoline and heavy fuel oil are VND400 and VND800.

They are also allowed to take VND100 from the fund for every liter of bio-fuel E5 RON92 sold. The subsidy rate of this product in the previous price adjustment on November 30 was VND200.
