Agriculture trade fair underway in Binh Thuan

A week-long fair on agriculture and trade is taking place in the southern province of Binh Thuan with the participation of nearly 160 exhibitors including companies, co-operatives and household businesses.

 

The event, which kicked off on Tuesday, is showcasing the Southeast region’s achievements in the agro-forestry-fishery industries and its key farm produce besides machinery and equipment used in the agriculture sector.

It is also displaying foodstuff, fruit, textiles and garments and handicrafts at 300 booths.

Addressing the event's opening ceremony, Nguyen Xuan Dinh, vice chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Viet Nam Farmers' Union, described the fair as an opportunity for co-operatives, businesses and farmers to expand markets for their agricultural products.

Events for farmers and enterprises and a conference on solutions for the sustainable development of dragon fruit will be also held.
