Vietnamese stocks rise again
Vietnamese shares rose on Friday morning as large-caps advanced supporting the market.
The benchmark VN-Index on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange rose 0.29 per cent to end at 978.89 points.
It had risen 0.70 per cent to close Thursday at 976.07 points.
The HNX-Index on the Ha Noi Stock Exchange gained 0.07 per cent to close at 101.18 points.
The northern market index soared 0.94 per cent to end at 101.11 points in the previous day.
Nearly 105 million shares were traded on the two exchanges, worth VND2.9 trillion (US$122 million).
Large-cap stocks also made good gains, led by Kido Group (KDC), Mobile World Group (MWG), PetroVietnam Power Corporation (POW), Vietcombank (VCB), Vinamilk (VNM) and Vietjet Air (VJC). VCB rose by 1.4 per cent to VND80,600 per share. POW climbed by 2 per cent to VND12,650 per share. MWG increased by 1.7 per cent to VND118,800 per share. KDC was up by 1.5 per cent to VND19,800 per share.
