Shinhan Bank opens four new branches

Shinhan Bank Vietnam Limited, or Shinhan Bank, has inaugurated four new branches and transaction offices in the cities of Danang, Hanoi and Haiphong and in Binh Duong Province.

The Danang branch is located in Hai Chau District in Danang City, the Trang Due Transaction Office is in Haiphong City’s An Duong District, the My Ding Transaction Office is in Nam Tu Liem District in Hanoi City and the Binh Duong New City branch is situated in Binh Duong Province’s Thu Dau Mot City.

The Danang branch is Shinhan Bank’s first in the central region following the opening of branches and transaction offices in the northern and southern parts of the country. With the opening of the Shinhan Bank branch in the central coastal city of Danang, the bank has achieved its goal of a nationwide network expansion in 2019.

Shinhan Bank’s network covers the most popular locations in major cities and provinces across the country. The four new branches are in busy financial centers. The bank’s branches and transaction offices are structured as a multi-functioning bank. The new branches in particular will offer digital banking services, applying advanced technology to its financial offerings.

With the opening of these new branches and transaction offices, Shinhan Bank expects to attract more investments from South Korea and to support Vietnamese corporate customers.

In 2018, Shinhan Bank established the Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) division to provide Corporate Banking and Investment Banking services to its customers. Hence, this network expansion will give Shinhan Bank more opportunities to serve a wide range of customers and help them leverage their business with financial services that meet international standards.

Apart from this, Shinhan Bank’s branches and transaction offices offer Shinhan Private Wealth Management (PWM). Shinhan PWM provides comprehensive financial solutions, ranging from personal wealth management to daily banking services.

At the opening ceremony at Shinhan Bank’s Danang branch on August 15, the bank’s representative noted, “Danang, Hanoi and Haiphong cities and Binh Duong Province are large financial centers in the northern, central and southern regions of Vietnam.” He added that statistics show that in recent years, these cities, typically Danang, have seen strong growth in the finance and banking industry, hence the demand for financial products and services in these four localities is rising.

These factors will create favorable conditions for Shinhan Bank to expand its operations and sustainably grow in the local market in the near future, the representative said.
