Citi awards top 10 Vietnamese banks for payment excellence

Citi Vietnam, part of global financial services multinational Citigroup, has just announced the winners of the Citi Excellent Straight Through Processing Award 2018 to reinforce and recognise client banks that have been meticulous in their efforts in conducting international payment services.

The award was given to 10 local banks having completed fund transfer transactions with a 90 per cent or higher correct ratio. The list features leading state-owned and joint stock commercial lenders Vietcombank, BIDV, Agribank, VietinBank, Techcombank, Military Bank, VP Bank, ACB, Sacombank, and Eximbank.

The Citi Excellent Straight Through Processing (STP) Award programme has been going for 14 years and has proven to be one of the most prestigious awards to honour financial institutions and banks that possess state-of-the-art international payment services with highly qualified international transactions.

“This award is an excellent proof of the increasing quality of Vietnamese banks’ operation taking advantage of new technologies and standards,” said Pham Huu Hai, head of Corporate Banking at Citi Vietnam. “Citi is committed to invest in technology and global transaction banking infrastructure to help our clients transact in a faster and more efficient manner.”

The award ceremony was part of the Seminar on Treasure and Payment, Global Trade, Compliance, Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Regulatory Changes with the participation of senior executives from Citi Asia-Pacific and Citi Vietnam.

Additionally, the event provided a platform for sharing experience and providing training in cash and trade products to bring about maximum benefits for each and every participating bank.
