Bac Ninh to lure SK investment

The northern province of Bac Ninh will create the best conditions for both large corporations and small- and medium-d enterprises from South Korea to invest in the province.

This message was delivered by the provincial Peoples Committee chairman Nguyen Tu Quynh during an investment promotion conference organised on Wednesday in Seoul.

Currently, South Korea is Bac Ninh's leading source of foreign direct investment with 824 projects valued at more than US$12 billion, accounting for 19.4 per cent of the total Korean investment in Viet Nam, the chairman said.

According to Quynh, Bac Ninh has attracted some renowned Korean investors such as Samsung, Hanwa, and Techwin. Their successful operations here were attributable to the localitys favourable business climate and transport system, sufficient communication infrastructure and quality human resources.

Hundreds of Korean investors attending the conference were informed of Viet Nam and Bac Ninhs policies for foreign investors.
