Investment, tourism promotion conference to kick off in Hue
A conference on promoting investment and tourism of the central region in Vietnam is scheduled for February 15-16 in the central city of Hue.
The conference is expected to gather 500 delegates who are leaders from the Government, ministries, departments and the key economic zone in the central region, as well as representatives of international organizations, local and foreign investors.
It is held to analyze and evaluate current conditions and the potential for growth of the region’s tourism sector; and to collect suggestions on orientations, policies and creative solutions to develop the regional tourism. In addition, the event is aimed to strengthen connection in terms of tourism promotion among localities in the region.
The conference is to include a function to grant approval on key investment projects in the Central and a meeting of the Central key economic zone.
At the event, Thua Thien-Hue Province will call on investment for 39 projects at the event. The list of the projects awaiting investment includes Thuy Bieu ecotourism urban area which covers some 150 hectares; Bai Ca ecotourism area in Lang Co Town, Phu Loc District pning over 200 hectares; a rowing tour project on the Bu Lu River in the district and many others.
