Gaw NP Industrial Platform debuts in Vietnam

Hong Kong-based Gaw Capital Partners and NP Capital Partners on January 24 launched a US$200-million joint logistics and industrial platform, Gaw NP Industrial, in the local market.

The platform was designed to invest in industrial properties in strategic locations to serve the strong demand from import-export businesses and companies involved in the booming ecommerce and retail space in Vietnam.

With capital of up to US$200 million, Gaw NP Industrial is expected to meet the soaring demand for high-quality logistics, warehouses, ready-built factories and built-to-order facilities through its strong projects as well as through merger and acquisition transactions in key cities and industrial zones across the country.

Vo Sy Nhan, co-founder and managing director of Gaw NP Industrial, said Gaw NP Industrial aimed at supporting Vietnam’s upcoming industrial property evolution and attracting additional foreign investment.

“Given Vietnam’s impressive economic growth, the boom in modern channels of retail such as ecommerce and waves of investment from foreign markets into Vietnam, the demand for high-quality industrial property is expected to hit new heights,” Nhan remarked.

Having successfully established multiple logistics platforms across gateway cities in China and Australia, with 1.3 million-square-meter warehousing facilities and over US$1 billion in capital commitment, Gaw NP Industrial’s founders expected to leverage their experiences in Vietnam, which would enable the platform to cover the full spectrum of logistics and industrial development, leasing and asset management.

Kenneth Gaw, chairman and CEO of Gaw Capital Partners, noted in a statement that the platform will become one of the key drivers of Vietnam’s industrial property market and contribute to Vietnam’s industrial advancement.

Gaw Capital Partners is a uniquely positioned private equity fund management company that focuses on real estate markets in China and other high barrier-to-entry markets globally. Meanwhile, NP Capital Partners is an experienced real estate investor and developer with exposure to residential and commercial projects in Vietnam.
