$1 million available for green start-up ideas

With a total prize value of up to US$1 million, the third Proof-of-Concept (PoC) competition aims to contribute to the richness and the connectivity of the Vietnamese start-up ecosystem.

 

The launch event for the PoC competition, under the theme ‘Women and the future of green economy’, was held in HCM City on Wednesday.

Organisations and individuals with excellent ideas to help Viet Nam cope with climate change will have the opportunity to access technology incubation services and business development with a maximum funding of $75,000 per project.

The contest areas include ideas and suggestions for a product, service or business models for efficient energy, sustainable agriculture, information technology in the field of climate change, renewable energy technology, water management and climate-related technologies.

Participating ideas must be innovations in technology or business models which can create products and services that adapt and respond to climate change or promote women’s participation and leadership in response efforts.
