Development projects are given green light
Eleven development projects in the Kingdom were approved by the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), bringing $297 million in total investment and more than 6,000 jobs to the Kingdom’s industry, according to a CDC press release posted on Facebook on Friday.
The CDC stated they issued registration certificates to 10 of the development projects, located in Phnom Penh, Battambang, Kampong Chhnang, Koh Kong and Takeo provinces. The total investment for the 10 projects was $294 million, with it estimated that 5,470 jobs will be created.
The projects focused on the development of electricity, packaging, plastic, construction materials, hospitality and beverages. The remaining development project, Xiament Tobacco (Cambodia) Co Ltd, was approved but did not receive government incentives.
