Vietbuild 2018 gets underway in Ha Noi

More than 400 businesses are participating in the Vietbuild Ha Noi 2018: International Exhibition, which began yesterday at the National Exhibition Construction Centre and Ha Noi Museum.

The event features 1,500 booths with new products and advanced technologies in real estate, construction and construction materials.

A total 261 domestic companies, 75 joint venture firms and 65 foreign enterprises from 24 countries and territories – such as France, the US, Russia, Turkey, the UK, Singapore and China are joining the five-day event.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Nguyen The Hung, vice chairman of the municipal People’s Committee said Vietbuild 2018 is an important event for construction and real estate firms. The exhibition would contribute to trade promotion, investment co-operation and technology transfer to develop the sector in the country, he said.

Nguyen Van Sinh, deputy minister of Construction said this would be an opportunity for Vietnamese firms to expand trade co-operation, investment and technology transfer. Foreign partners would also tap into the potential market.

Nguyen Tran Nam, chairman of Viet Nam Real Estate Association (VNREA) said the event would be attended by property associations from 19 countries and territories, with nearly 300 international participants.

The event enables Vietnamese businesses to expand trade and investment links, find foreign partners and gain access to cutting-edge technologies. It also helps foreign firms and international economic organisations seek investment opportunities in Viet Nam.

Exhibitors said their products were researched and produced at the end of 2017 and the beginning of 2018, with updates to meet the increasing demand for green and sustainable development.

They added that Vietbuild has helped businesses in the construction sector operate more effectively. Products at the exhibition are demonstrated to potential customers, helping producers devise items suitable with consumption trends.

Held by the Viet Nam National Real Estate Association and the VNREBUILD Real Estate International Exhibition Organisation Company, the event has been divided into three phases.

The first took place from March 28 to April 1 with 1,700 pavilions of nearly 500 businesses from 18 countries.

The final phase is due to be held at the end of the year.
