Vietbank and VNPT-Media co-operate in digital financial services

VNPT Media Corporation (VNPT-Media) and the Viet Nam Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Vietbank) signed a co-operation agreement on digital financial services in Ha Noi on Tuesday.

 

Accordingly, in the first stage, VNPT-Media and Vietbank will provide collection services, payment gateway connection services and e-wallet services.

In the future, VNPT-Media and Vietbank will expand services to include credit scoring, loans and searches for potential customers.

The co-operation between VNPT-Media and Vietbank will help customers easily access and pay for existing VNPT services such as telecommunication fees, tuition fees at Vnedu, hospital fees at VNPT-HIS and public administration services at VNPT iGate.

Speaking at the ceremony, Huynh Quang Liem, deputy general director of Viet Nam Posts and Telecommunications group (VNPT) and chairman of VNPT-Media said that with the outstanding advantages of the two companies in large customer bases, wide sale networks and skilled staff, the co-operation will bring high efficiency to both sides and contribute to the development of a digital economy which is beginning to emerge in Viet Nam.

Nguyen Thanh Nhung, Vietbank general director, said that the bank had the advantages of hundreds of thousands of customers, a strong legal corridor and experiences in risk management.

VNPT-Media and Vietbank would develop products utilising the advantages of the two sides, sell the other’s products, expand service provision channels, build and develop customer base, increase co-operation in many aspects to ensure mutual benefits in the future, Nhung added.
