Ha Noi promotes modernisation of warehouse management in customs process

The Customs Department of Ha Noi has been implementing solutions to remove difficulties and promote modern management of warehouse and customs clearance sites.

According to the department, 24 out of 31 warehouses managed by the department have not reached requirements on business conditions for tax-exemption goods, warehouses and places of customs clearance, inspection and supervision.

The screening system at the customs sub-department of the Noi Bai International Airport has made mistakes in data transmission and the national single-window system. Therefore, the department proposed the Viet Nam Customs solve those mistakes and check the adequacy of data transmitted to the system.

In addition, the department also proposed the People’s Committee of Ha Noi to direct other departments of the city to support it in implementing warehouse development projects to serve enterprises in economic and industrial zones as well as import-export activities in Ha Noi and neighbouring cities and provinces.

According to the department, in the first six months of this year, the department implemented 565,835 units of customs declarations with total trade value of US$15.82 billion.
