HNX nets VNĐ9.8 trillion in auctions

The Ha Noi Stock Exchange (HNX) said it has organised 19 auctions so far this year, collecting almost VND10 trillion in shares.

More than one billion shares were auctioned in total. Over 627 million shares, equivalent to 63 per cent, were traded during the auctions, raising VND9.8 trillion (US$431.2 million).

Of the 19 auctions conducted, three were four capital withdrawal, five were for initial public offerings, and one was for purchase rights.

Auctions for capital withdrawal have remained attractive for investors, with an auction for the capital divestment of Apatit Viet Nam One Member Ltd. Co., at Viet Nam Apatit Phosphorus JSC, as well as an auction for the purchase rights of the Airports Corporation of Viet Nam, having been held in May.

Up to 14.99 million shares were ordered during the capital divestment auction, as compared to only 10.5 million auctioned shares, all of which were sold out by the end of the proceeding.

Meanwhile, only 0.07 per cent or 262,000 rights to buy shares of the Airports Corporation of Viet Nam were sold in the auction for purchase rights.

The HNX said there will be only one auction in June. More than 20.5 million of shares of Bach Dang Construction Corporation will be put on sale during this month’s auction, which will be held June 18.
