Costing some $7.5 million, the first Italian-French-styled luxury housing project will begin construction in the capital early next month, said industry insiders.
The project, which is expected to have 17 villa units, will be built on 7,000 square metres. A joint venture between investors from Italy, France and Cambodia, it is located in Chbar Ampov district, along National Road 1, some five kilometres from the Monivong Bridge.
Seraj Sutton, the chief operating officer of Century 21 Cambodia Company, which holds exclusive rights to sell the units, called Mekong Harmony a great home project that’s constructed to provide its owners with unparalleled luxury.
“This is a special project for high-income earners. Mekong Harmony villas will feature swimming pools and be equipped with high-quality materials imported from Italy.
“The rooftop of each residence is being specially designed to accommodate meetings and dinner parties, while its location offers breathtaking views of Koh Pich,” he said.
Mekong Harmony is the second luxury residential development project being constructed in Chbar Ampov. The first, Oxley Worldbridge’s The Palm project, offers about 200 units and began construction earlier this month.
The Mekong Harmony project will take some 12 months to complete. Century 21 said unit prices will range from $200,000 to over $990,000. As at the end of last week, customers have reserved six villas at the property.
Key Real Estate General Manager, Sorn Seap, said the riverside area in Chbar Ampov, where Mekong Harmony is located, has great potential for housing projects.
“Chbar Ampov will be popular soon, especially with all the development projects coming up there,” he said.
